Against the Turning Tides is a powerful romance anthology celebrating women who have faced loss, pain, illness, heartbreak, and impossible odds and chosen to rise anyway. Through stories of love, resilience, and hope, these pages honour the courage it takes to survive… and the bravery it takes to love again.

Created especially for the Romance in the North book signing, this anthology is published in aid of Heyendo, a Hull & East Yorkshire based charity supporting women living with endometriosis, offering understanding, advocacy, and a lifeline to those who need it most.

This collection is also dedicated to the memory of Paula Acton, our dear friend, whose strength, kindness, and spirit continue to inspire us. Though she passed away in 2025, her legacy lives on in every woman who refuses to be defined by her pain.

These stories are about survival.
About love found after darkness.
About women who bend but do not break.
